ARTIST STATEMENT

Artist ? ... Can you tell what an artist is ? ...Forget it ....Nobody can define an artist .  Can we all be artists? To be an artist does not require a relevant presence in the traditional art circle. An artist do not need to made a structured approach to the art of painting, not even in its more rudimentary forms of artisan or drawing. Art flows as the winds take it.

 An artist doesn't need any graduation in painting art , studies its disciplines or learn its techniques. An artist rather prefer to discover it by search. 

An artist is still an artist even if he rarely exceed the border of his improvised atelier. Participation on individual or group contests, and on national or international exhibitions, are not mandatory.

Painting is a natural energy source for self improvement. Each painting is  a part of the artist himself. Nobody will ever understand its mean the way an artist do.  It's a very personal feeling. A lot of the enjoyment that an artist derive from painting comes from the process and not always the finished product.

 An artist produces a personal painting without any conscientious references or a characteristic clientele. No rules, no limits, no influences, no commitments. Pure pleasure.

If all this defines an artist.........than..... I'm an artist.

My paintings are developing over  time from a growing interest in Surrealism and Visionary art and the spectacular scenery of graphics. Lately, I have become fascinated with the wild and gorgeous scenery of the slick rock countries, cities, deserts, oceans and skies. I have borrowed ideas for many of my recent paintings from some of the remote imaginary locations that I have met in web. I rarely will replicate on canvas a photograph, image or picture that I've taken. I like to use elements or ideas from different supports to come up with a landscape that exists nowhere on earth..... or in your mind. I like the challenge of trying to resolve different real elements into a imaginary painting on canvas.

My paintings are occasionally showed in private or public collections, and it's not easily found in galleries . This site, listed at several art directories, is  the best source to discover my paintings.
