Running DVDREasy for the first time
When you run DVDREasy for the first time you
will see a warning message saying that the dvdreasy.ini is missing.
This
is perfectly normal.
Press "OK" button to continue.
A dvdreasy.ini will be created.

Folders and Paths
Next, you must tell DVDREasy where you want the
Working Folder (must have ~15 GB free space).
Based on that, DVDREasy will automaticly assign an Output Folder called
"VIDEO_TS" (that will contain the new processed files ready for burning)
and a ISO Image Folder called "ISO" for storing the ISO image (optional). If you
intent to use Cinema Craft Encoder you must inform the locations of CCE
SP.

AviSynth 2.5 Installed.
In that case just answer "yes" and AviSynth will be installed.

Encoder Settings
Here you choose what encoder to use (CCE
or HC) and their respective settings.
For an explanation of CCE settings, please visit the
Cinema Craft web site and
the
CCE forum at Doom9.org

Here you can specify the
encoding mode: In Onepass VBR, dvdreasy finds the best Q value for the conversion process. This mode is significantly faster than Multipass mode but less accurate in filling all the 4,7GB of a DVD-R. The Multipass mode is slower than OPV but the 4,7GB of DVD-R are filled to the edge. The conversion time depends on the nº of passes that you specify. You will not gain noticeable quality with values greater than 5 If you know how, you can define your own AVISYNTH script for using with CCE. You can always change these settings by choosing "Enc. Settings" from the toolbar and return to default values by pressing "Defaults" button |
For an explanation of HC settings :
- read the
PDF document in HCenc directory (ex c:\program files\dvdreasy\hcenc)
- visit this
thread at
Doom9.org
