CERES - Varieties of Cliché
This WebPage is destined to give knowledge of philatelic errors in Portuguese Stamps type " CERES ". Here I describe some of known defects. Many of them are mentioned in the Catalogues.
1912 - Ceres - Stamp # 207 Afinsa
	In the first case the crack in the O of “correio” seeming a half moon, and in the 2nd one the crack in the C is crossed by two strokes.
	In the 1st Stamp, a stroke type comma is verified in the 1/2. In the 2nd a dot in top of the O of “correio” and a stroke in the star.
1912 - Ceres - Stamp # 208 Afinsa
	Errors from left to right: A defective “O”, dots near 1 and at the tip of the scythe. A stroke next to the 1. A great crack in the hand. Number 1 with a dot after. Last stamp with a defective “E”.
1912 - Ceres - Stamp # 211 Afinsa
	"O" from “correio” with a stroke underneath.
1912 - Ceres - Stamp # 215 Afinsa
	1st - dot in front of 1 and stroke underneath of the A of “Republica”. 2nd - stroke behind “C”. 3rd - defective nr.1. 4th - defective C of “correio” with dots and defective RR. 5th - stroke in front of the picture. 6th - mark in the O of “correio”. 7th - broken C of “correio”. 8th - C and OO of “correio” with dots. 9th - crack in a dolphin form in front of C. 10th - vertical stroke in the last O of “correio”. 11th - stroke after “C”. 12th - crack in the picture seeming a wrinkle starting in B of Republica until C of cents.
1912 - Ceres - Stamp # 217 Afinsa
	Vertical stroke between O and the star.
1917-20 - Ceres - New values and colours - Stamp # 221 Afinsa
	Crack in the O of “correio” resulting CQRREIO (error mentioned in the Catalogue). 1º Stamp with stroke on the" C ". 2nd – white dot in front of picture. 3rd – a dot seeming a boot near to the sleeve. 4th - white stroke front of picture. 5th - white stroke in the left. 6th - C of “correio” with stroke underneath.
1917-20 - Ceres - New values and colours - Stamp # 222 Afinsa
	In this variety we can see a stroke between the O and the R of “correio”.
1917-20 - Ceres - New values and colours - Stamp # 226 Afinsa
	The crack in number 4 results in a thick number.
1917-20 - Ceres - New values and colours - Stamp # 228 and 236 Afinsa
	Crack in the O of post office resulting CORREIC in Stamps 228 and 236 (errors these mentioned in the Catalogue).
1917-20 - Ceres - New values and colours - Stamp # 242 Afinsa
	Error of printing in the " 0 " (zero) resulting 3C and 3Q
1917-20 - Ceres - New values and colours - Stamp # 255 Afinsa
	Another variant, in this case the word CORREIO reads CORRCIO.

	Crack in the O of CORREIO resulting CORREIC (error mentioned in the Catalogue).
1928 - Ceres - with overcharge - Stamp # 469(235) Afinsa
	One more variant, in this case the word CORREIO reads CORREYO.
1928 - Ceres - w/ overcharge "REVALIDADO" - Stamp # 493(291) Afinsa
	Stamp with double overcharge (in the catalogue).
