MY LIFE (Summarized in only 89 words!) :

I don’t know exactly when it all began, but my first memories go back to the games with my childhood friends. Oh, how I miss it! I was a quiet guy who did the wild things without being noticed.  However, I’ve always been a good boy.  Then I studied in my hometown, Braga, till I was 18. Luckily, I had almost everything I wanted. Then I grew courageous and came to the capital, Lisbon, to be an engineer – I succeded. Now the future is waiting for me.

MY HOBBIES :

One of my passions is automobiles – no wonder why I am in a Mechanical Engineering course! I am interested in everything related with the technical questions and I also like motor sports, especially Formula 1 – I can’t miss a GP!

Since I was a child one of my favorite hobbies is to draw cars (see some drawings in Cars). Most of them are originals and the first outlines are usually made during the more interesting classes. Some friends tell me I should run to a design center, but I never had any ambitions in this field. I have even decided not to draw anymore because I have better things to do and ideas are running short…

When I am on vacations the ideal for me is to leave all worries and responsibilities behind and go somewhere else. I have started traveling when I was very young, thanks to my parents. They gave me the possibility to know Portugal and some parts of Spain pretty well. In the summer I use to go to the Algarve in the south of Portugal and in the last four years I also went abroad. Meanwhile, if there is any free time and nothing else more interesting to do I use to enjoy another hobby – modeling. Unfortunately during the last years I haven’t been able to do anything because the engineering course took me a lot time. Most of the cars I build are F1 models (1/43 scale) – they fit in a closed hand! These models require great dedication and patience, and just for you to make an idea, it can take more or less one weak to finish each one (see some pictures in Modeling). Then there is always the opportunity to participate in exhibitions together with other people. In Portugal these kind of events aren’t very usual, but until now I managed to participate three times.

I have also some tastes common to almost everybody, like: being with friends, watching television, going to the cinema (look at my favorite movies in Cinema), going to the stadium to see my hometown club playing, reading, or listening to music. By the way, my favorite music bands are Pink Floyd and Depeche Mode.

And finally, there is sport. During the period of classes and exams I use to swim to relax and to maintain the shape. However, what I really like is to ride my bicycle – I must confess that sometimes I exaggerate in velocity, but I am always careful to be the only one to be all broken.
